Are you aged 24 years or younger? Got a smoking-hot car of any kind? Then you’re eligible to enter the Hare & Forbes Machineryhouse Young Street Machine of the Year competition! Simply submit your car below, and then garner support from the public by spruiking your build on the social media channel of your choice, including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook or YouTube, using the hashtag #ysmoty. We’ll then choose the top 16 finalists and turn it over to the public for the vote! Submissions close 10 August, with public voting opening up on 18 August.

Four dates. One winner. Here's the journey from submissions to the people's champion.
Young Street Machine of the Year is open to anyone under 24 (as at 31 December 2026), and unlike Street Machine of the Year proper, there is no requirement to have had a feature in the mag. Any genre of car is fair game – drift cars, mini-trucks, burnout cars, Time Attack weapons, JDM hotties, customs, hot rods, 4x4s, restos and street machines are all welcome. In fact, our first winner was Max Edwards’s twin-turbo, VIP-style Toyota Majesta, followed by Grant Azzopardi’s Barra-powered Ford Anglia, and then Jack Mill’s Suzuki Swift in 2025! Who can say what this year will bring?
